Serial numbers are decoded in your browser. They are not sent to an ApplianceAge server and no account is required.

When you choose a brand after a lookup, your serial is passed in the browser’s URL fragment, then removed from the address bar. URL fragments are not sent to the web server.

If site analytics are configured, they measure page visits. Serial numbers are not included in page URLs sent to the server. External source links take you to the referenced publisher’s website.
